Pragmatics

Stankler claimed that pragmatics is a study of linguistic acts and contexts which they are performed ( as cited in Moore, 2001). Based on Yule (2006) pragmatics is a study of meaning of words in utterance which must be recognized by speakers or writers because the meaning of word is not actually said or written. Hence, the meaning of text could be understood by people in communication refers to the context. Particularly, pragmatics is not only a study which has been linked to text and context but also it is a learning about the form of linguistics and how people apply it. It means that utterance has meaning depends on the context and how people use language in a context.
